An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Salbatore in the 8th minute of play forced Gallinas's goalkeeper Amador Teyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Genaro Xacintu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Gonzalo Mel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Ubaldo Lluques kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amador Teyo. That made the score 1-0 in the 23 minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Conrado Salbatore had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amador Teyo. Gallinas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Conrado Salbatore was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Amador Teyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Lluques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gallinas! Arsenio Rafel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonzalo Mel having to interfere. Gonzalo Mel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anier Noe in the 42nd minute of play. With a little luck, Gallinas's Amador Teyo got control of the ball when Conrado Salbatore tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anier Noe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ubaldo Lluques blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amador Teyo having to make a save. Generoso Nikola's late challenge caught a Gallinas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Generoso Nikola helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th match minute, Sanford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Generoso Nikola to maneuver through the defense. A sloppy throw-in by Donato Darien in the 63rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Gallinas's Jonas Mitxel. Donato Darien blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amador Teyo having to make a save. Conrado Salbatore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Amador Teyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Conrado Salbatore sped through Gallinas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Amador Teyo. Amador Teyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Salbatore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the game, Sanford's Conrado Salbatore nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amador Teyo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. If Placido Errapel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gallinas players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sanford.
