Higinio Acosta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Amador Teyo made a huge save. If Zeledon Gizon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gallinas's Amador Teyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Gizon in the 12th minute of play. Paúl Breitner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Policarpio, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. If Mauricio Policarpio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauricio Policarpio struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Paúl Breitner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gallinas. Anier Noe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 32nd match minute, Gasoducto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severiano Marko to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Gasoducto's Dionisio Garcia got a free kick in the 34th minute. Anier Noe struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Paúl Breitner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gallinas. If Mauricio Policarpio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 minutes, Mateo Furman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gasoducto and the Gallinas players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 44 played minutes Gasoducto got a freekick which was hit by Mateo Furman. In the 46th minute, Mauricio Policarpio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paúl Breitner was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After the first half Gallinas were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Mauricio Policarpio made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Victorino Tulio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gallinas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gasoducto the free kick. A collision led to Gallinas getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Victorino Tulio hit a great ball. When Anier Noe came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Gallinas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anier Noe couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Gallinas booed when Gasoducto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severiano Marko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anier Noe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Paúl Breitner made a huge save. Gallinas's Mauricio Policarpio got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amador Teyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Higinio Acosta, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Mauricio Policarpio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paúl Breitner having to interfere. Gasoducto's Paúl Breitner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul Santiago in the 68th minute of play. Paúl Breitner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Tulio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mauricio Policarpio struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Paúl Breitner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gallinas. In the 80th minute, Mauricio Policarpio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paúl Breitner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Policarpio in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Raul Santiago fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Anier Noe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victorino Tulio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Paúl Breitner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paúl Breitner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anier Noe in the 93rd minute. After having played for 95 minutes, Mauricio Policarpio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gallinas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauricio Policarpio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Gasoducto fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gallinas were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
