Joaquin Ponce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siro Jacob, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. 6 minutes into the match, Gaspar Ignazio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of NEUQUÉN ATL's Joaquin Ponce. Joaquin Ponce was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joaquin Ponce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Ignazio, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. NEUQUÉN ATL's Joaquin Ponce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Ignazio in the 17th minute of play. In the 21stth minute of the game Gaspar Ignazio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but NEUQUÉN ATL's Joaquin Ponce was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siro Jacob couldn't finish the play. If Bernardo Lucila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Lucila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th match minute, Covello FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natalio Firme to maneuver through the defense. NEUQUÉN ATL's Jeronimo Quintun shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 46th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Lisandro Calvet but with some difficulty. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lázaro Gaxan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Siro Jacob got free with Joaquin Ponce in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mariano Carlomagno hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in NEUQUÉN ATL's zone, Federico Tavio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Ponce came out of the goal and Federico Tavio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lisandro Calvet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Lucila, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Gaspar Ignazio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 76 minutes, Francisco Benitez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NEUQUÉN ATL and the Covello FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 77 played minutes NEUQUÉN ATL got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Benitez. Siro Jacob sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. NEUQUÉN ATL's Joaquin Ponce proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save NEUQUÉN ATL from getting a goal against them. Siro Jacob took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Ponce. Joaquin Ponce dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Joaquin Ponce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaspar Ignazio in the 94th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Ignazio in the 96th minute of play forced NEUQUÉN ATL's goalkeeper Joaquin Ponce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Covello FC played a much better game than NEUQUÉN ATL and deserved their victory. The NEUQUÉN ATL players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
