Genaro Xacintu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lisandro Calvet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, Genaro Xacintu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gallinas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Covello FC the free kick. In the 18th minute, Anier Noe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gallinas's Anier Noe got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Covello FC's Igor Atarrabi got a free kick in the 27th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Anier Noe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gallinas's supporters rose to their feet, but Anier Noe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lisandro Calvet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Mauricio Policarpio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauricio Policarpio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lisandro Calvet having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Gallinas's Genaro Xacintu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lisandro Calvet. Lisandro Calvet yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Lisandro Calvet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorino Tulio, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Genaro Xacintu struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Lisandro Calvet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gallinas. After having played for 47 minutes, Genaro Xacintu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gallinas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genaro Xacintu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaspar Ignazio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gaspar Ignazio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amador Teyo having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Gallinas's zone, Gaspar Ignazio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amador Teyo came out of the goal and Gaspar Ignazio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauricio Policarpio hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Siro Jacob sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anier Noe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Lisandro Calvet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 64 minutes of play, Gallinas's Mauricio Policarpio made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lisandro Calvet was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Tulio in the 68th minute of play forced Covello FC's goalkeeper Lisandro Calvet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the game, Gallinas's Genaro Xacintu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lisandro Calvet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Victorino Tulio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Lisandro Calvet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th match minute, Gallinas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauricio Policarpio to maneuver through the defense. Lisandro Calvet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Siro Jacob scored 5-1 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amador Teyo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gallinas's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
