The audience was convinced that Lázaro Gaxan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amador Teyo was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauricio Policarpio to make the kick off. Gallinas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genaro Xacintu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lázaro Gaxan in the 62nd minute of play forced Gallinas's goalkeeper Amador Teyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gallinas's Mauricio Policarpio got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gallinas fully deserved thier win.
