When Guaberto Aritza fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Team Jordan's protests and gave Guaberto Aritza a yellow card for diving instead. After 5 played minutes Team Jordan got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Aritza. After 8 played minutes Team Jordan got a freekick which was hit by Moises Frisco. Ignacio Sazon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Epifanio Txatxu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute of the match Javier Ekialde sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Epifanio Txatxu skillfully saved the ball. If Ignacio Sazon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arteaga's Epifanio Txatxu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Pueblo in the 25th minute of play. After 28 minutes, Agustin Olo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arteaga and the Team Jordan players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Arteaga getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Agustin Olo hit a great ball. Eustaquio Pedroso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Donato Oinatz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Team Jordan's Rogelio Rik suffered a concussion after 33 minutes and had to leave the field. A collision led to Arteaga getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Hilario Etxeberri hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Ignacio Sazon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Team Jordan's supporters rose to their feet, but Ignacio Sazon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Epifanio Txatxu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ignacio Sazon was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustin Olo in the 57th minute of play forced Team Jordan's goalkeeper Donato Oinatz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Donato Oinatz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Pedroso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albano Foro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Oinatz having to interfere. Arteaga's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Anier Laurgain in the 66th minute. After taking down the ball on Arteaga's corner Anier Laurgain fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Donato Oinatz quite easily take care of the ball. Donato Oinatz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustaquio Pedroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute, Ignacio Sazon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Epifanio Txatxu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Donato Oinatz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustaquio Pedroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustin Olo in the 81st minute of play forced Team Jordan's goalkeeper Donato Oinatz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ignacio Sazon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Epifanio Txatxu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play.
