Herminio Enetz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Samuel Aballe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Samuel Aballe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomiro Tartalo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in MZ 2018 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! Christian Llanos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

MZ 2018 were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Tu Vieja FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Isaac Cordarrel took the corner. MZ 2018's Baldomiro Tartalo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Samuel Aballe in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 57th match minute, Tu Vieja FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ladislao Mingo to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the game, MZ 2018's Herminio Enetz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Samuel Aballe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baldomiro Tartalo in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Samuel Aballe saved Tu Vieja FC from getting behind. A collision led to Tu Vieja FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Ladislao Mingo hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in MZ 2018's zone, Christian Llanos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaristo Gines came out of the goal and Christian Llanos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 76 minutes into the match, Tu Vieja FC's goalkeeper Samuel Aballe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herminio Enetz. If Herminio Enetz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ladislao Mingo charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ladislao Mingo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of MZ 2018 booed when Tu Vieja FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Eleder didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 92 minutes of play Tu Vieja FC's Ladislao Mingo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground.
