Spectators: 7243 (Terracing: 5435, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 142) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Everardo Quinto kicked off to start the match. Ranquile FC's Octavio Cordero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ubaldo Leocadio in the 4th minute of play. Ovidio Corderro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorge Vitin having to make a save. Octavio Cordero came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Arnoldo Janssen's Celestino Ciano. But to his dismay, Celestino Ciano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 11th minute of the match Guillermo Laurin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Octavio Cordero skillfully saved the ball. Victor Lalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Cordero having to interfere. After some careless play in the Ranquile FC defense, Ubaldo Leocadio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Octavio Cordero. The Ranquile FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Octavio Cordero should have stopped the shot. In the 24th minute, Celestino Ciano made a precise shot to the right of Octavio Cordero. Ranquile FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. If Everardo Quinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Everardo Quinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Jorge Vitin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Dabi during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Arnoldo Janssen booed when Ranquile FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Dabi didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ubaldo Leocadio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Octavio Cordero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celestino Ciano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Octavio Cordero had great luck who in the 54thth minute grab hold of the ball when Celestino Ciano from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 63rd minute of the match, Celestino Ciano tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Octavio Cordero saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 66th minute Celestino Ciano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Cordero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Vitin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovidio Corderro, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Octavio Cordero made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Ubaldo Leocadio sent off a good shot on target. 78 minutes into the match, Everardo Quinto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorge Vitin. Arnoldo Janssen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Everardo Quinto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Celestino Ciano kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Ubaldo Leocadio was extremely unlucky when he, in the 93rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 95 minutes of play, Arnoldo Janssen's Ubaldo Leocadio made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Octavio Cordero was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Ranquile FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Arnoldo Janssen were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
