Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 14th minute, Ranquile FC's Ovidio Corderro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gigel Tăzlăuanu. Gigel Tăzlăuanu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Gigel Tăzlăuanu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ovidio Corderro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 20 minute of play. When Anastasio Lano came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Leon F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anastasio Lano couldn't finish the play. In the 25th match minute, Ranquile FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iker Videl to maneuver through the defense. If Anastasio Lano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Leon F.C getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Wilfredo Rainerio hit a great ball. After having played for 31 minutes, Anastasio Lano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leon F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anastasio Lano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paolo Lizardi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Octavio Cordero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leon F.C's Wilfredo Rainerio got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anastasio Lano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Octavio Cordero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Everardo Quinto to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Ranquile FC got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Dabi. After a defensive mix-up in Leon F.C's zone, Everardo Quinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gigel Tăzlăuanu came out of the goal and Everardo Quinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute, Martin Branca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Desiderio Osmundo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ranquile FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Desiderio Osmundo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gigel Tăzlăuanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wilfredo Rainerio hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After 77 played minutes Ranquile FC got a freekick which was hit by Everardo Quinto. In the 81st minute, Ovidio Corderro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leon F.C's Simon Gomesano quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Candido Galtero, made in the 87th minute of the game. If Paolo Lizardi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 95 minutes, Everardo Quinto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ranquile FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Everardo Quinto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Ranquile FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
