After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Blas Modestio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buffeteros's supporters rose to their feet, but Blas Modestio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornelio Iraido breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Buchanan's Cornelio Iraido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blas Modestio in the 15th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Buffeteros's Epifanio Eguntsenti got a free kick in the 20th minute. Blas Modestio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Salvador Lon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Cornelio Iraido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Lon in the 27th minute of play. Hugo Donostia hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. With his leg Cornelio Iraido managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Buffeteros's Blas Modestio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blas Modestio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cornelio Iraido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blas Modestio, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Buchanan players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Buffeteros.
