Spectators: 7243 (Terracing: 5433, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 144) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Zeledon Handi kicked off to start the match. The audience was convinced that Zeledon Handi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Constantino Joanes was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. When Fulgencio Chesus came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Porvenir fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fulgencio Chesus couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Zeledon Handi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taquito y Gambeta's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeledon Handi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Constantino Joanes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amadeo Sagrario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Manuel Eleazar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fulgencio Chesus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Eleazar having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugenio Telesforo got free with Constantino Joanes in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Porvenir's Constantino Joanes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Handi in the 24th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Silvio Maraman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the game, Zeledon Handi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Constantino Joanes. Zeledon Handi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 47 minutes into the match, Taquito y Gambeta's Eugenio Telesforo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Constantino Joanes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amadeo Sagrario was the one to do the kick off. Constantino Joanes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeledon Handi in the 51st minute of the match. Eugenio Telesforo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Eugenio Telesforo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silvio Maraman during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Taquito y Gambeta booed when Porvenir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvio Maraman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Porvenir's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Telesforo came free, but Constantino Joanes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute Cipriano Tabby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Eleazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Taquito y Gambeta's Zeledon Handi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Constantino Joanes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 70th minute, Taquito y Gambeta's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Amadeo Sagrario fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Eugenio Telesforo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, Porvenir's goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Handi came free, but Constantino Joanes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Constantino Joanes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zeledon Handi's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. In the 80thth minute of the game Amadeo Sagrario who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Taquito y Gambeta's Manuel Eleazar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Porvenir's goalkeeper Constantino Joanes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Porvenir's Hector Emmanuel shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 87th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Manuel Eleazar but with some difficulty. If Zeledon Handi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Eugenio Telesforo sped through Porvenir's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Constantino Joanes.
