Patricio Costante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Patricio Costante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Victor Todor came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Scaloneta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Todor couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in MACU FC's zone, Marcelo Abaurre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horacio Pere came out of the goal and Marcelo Abaurre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Scaloneta's Marcelo Abaurre in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MACU FC's goalie prevented a goal. Horacio Pere took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Abaurre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Patricio Costante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Victorio Ioritz kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. If Patricio Costante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horacio Pere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Abaurre in the 33rd minute of play. Melchor Shepherd stood somewhat misplaced when Gaspar Quintyn came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 40 minute. If Rene Nevada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 45 minutes, Patricio Costante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scaloneta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Marcelo Abaurre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

A collision led to Scaloneta getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Patricio Costante hit a great ball. If Patricio Costante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Todor received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Horacio Pere came out and tried to block the shot, but Victor Todor slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 64th minute. Scaloneta's Melchor Shepherd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Chorache in the 67th minute of play. After 70 played minutes Scaloneta got a freekick which was hit by Astor Casado. Victorio Ioritz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Melchor Shepherd. Scaloneta's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Patricio Costante kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Melchor Shepherd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amado Bieito, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Patricio Costante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Horacio Pere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelo Abaurre struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Horacio Pere didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Scaloneta. If Patricio Costante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Todor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Scaloneta's Marcelo Abaurre got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Marcelo Abaurre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scaloneta's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelo Abaurre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horacio Pere breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, MACU FC's Silverio Iratzeder got a free kick in the 90th minute. Victor Todor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Horacio Pere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Scaloneta could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than MACU FC throughout the match.
