Guillermo Gaizko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chancaní's Godfredo Quinteros got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sixto Rafe to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Samuel Mantzio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guillermo Gaizko was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. A very good chance. Flunfels Bohemios's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
