When Cristian Lidon came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Quijano Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Lidon couldn't finish the play. If Silvano Betadur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Aguilera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Saul Inko hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 41 minutes, Dalmacio Austin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 43 minutes into the match, Quijano Futbol Club's goalkeeper Dalmacio Austin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Aguilera. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gaudencio Lluterio made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Casilda's zone, Cristian Lidon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Mazuste came out of the goal and Cristian Lidon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Quijano Futbol Club's Leonel Unax got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Casilda's Fabian Geleberto got a free kick in the 69th minute. Pedro Mazuste made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Unax in the 71st minute of play. Leonel Unax sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaudencio Lluterio in the 81st minute of play forced Quijano Futbol Club's goalkeeper Dalmacio Austin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute of the match Dario Orlanda sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dalmacio Austin skillfully saved the ball. If Cristian Lidon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaudencio Lluterio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Dalmacio Austin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Everardo Sugar kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Dalmacio Austin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaudencio Lluterio's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
