Magno's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fútbol Club Animal's Gaston Guillem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Kelemen in the 34th minute of play. Cecilio Constancio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Abel Domeka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Magno getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Jonathan Ganix hit a great ball. Teobaldo Maldonado might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abel Domeka. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teobaldo Maldonado ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 43rd minute Cecilio Constancio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Domeka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cecilio Constancio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Abel Domeka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobaldo Maldonado in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teobaldo Maldonado was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Magno's Norberto Elequemedo got a free kick in the 79th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Magno's zone, Cecilio Constancio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Domeka came out of the goal and Cecilio Constancio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teobaldo Maldonados short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Abel Domeka to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience was convinced that Teobaldo Maldonado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abel Domeka was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Fútbol Club Animal's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
