Spectators: 7321 (Terracing: 5492, Seating: 1684, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mauricio Locaio started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Miguel Meder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paolo Nabar might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Francisco Sindo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paolo Nabar ran back to his position shaking his head. Paolo Nabar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Francisco Sindo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Tucuman FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Locaio came free, but Francisco Sindo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Villa Alem de Tucuman getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Romeo Perfecto hit a great ball. Primitivo Celino was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Miguel Rik showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. Inocencio Dalmai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Primitivo Celino made a huge save. Paolo Nabar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Francisco Sindo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tucuman FC's Francisco Sindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paolo Nabar in the 29th minute of play. Mauricio Locaio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paolo Nabar scored 1-2 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francisco Sindo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Paolo Nabar kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Inocencio Dalmai struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Primitivo Celino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tucuman FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paolo Nabar in the 41st minute of play forced Tucuman FC's goalkeeper Francisco Sindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Inocencio Dalmai blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Primitivo Celino having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Villa Alem de Tucuman's Leandro Ruisko got a free kick in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Villa Alem de Tucuman's Paolo Nabar was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Francisco Sindo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Tucuman FC's Francisco Sindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauricio Locaio in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Paolo Nabar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francisco Sindo. Tucuman FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paolo Nabar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Rik in the 71st minute of play forced Villa Alem de Tucuman's goalkeeper Primitivo Celino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Francisco Sindo managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Villa Alem de Tucuman's Paolo Nabar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Villa Alem de Tucuman booed when Tucuman FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Edwardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Sindo was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Mauricio Locaio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mauricio Locaio really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Francisco Sindo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeo Perfecto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Mauricio Locaio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Francisco Sindo. The goal made the score 1-6. Francisco Sindo was a little too slow when Mauricio Locaio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 1-7. Rodolfo Piarres hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. If Paolo Nabar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
