In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Cicloneta's goalkeeper Rene Herensuge, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Herminio Lico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute Arnoldo Santo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Caitano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to La Cicloneta getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Delmar Celio hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raimundo Izotz in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lino Caitano saved Talleres from getting behind. 25 minutes into the match, Arnulfo Estebano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rene Herensuge. La Cicloneta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnulfo Estebano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Delmar Celio kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. The La Cicloneta fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when La Cicloneta's Arnoldo Santo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Epifanio Montrel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Talleres's Aquilino Gentza got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Lino Caitano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Sancho in the 44th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Lino Caitano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Izotz in the 53rd minute of play. Lino Caitano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnoldo Santo's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Talleres's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Santo came free, but Lino Caitano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute, Celso Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lino Caitano was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 69 minutes into the match, La Cicloneta's Raimundo Izotz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lino Caitano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Aquilino Gentza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the game, Arnoldo Santo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Lino Caitano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Talleres's zone, Arnoldo Santo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lino Caitano came out of the goal and Arnoldo Santo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lino Caitano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnoldo Santo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raimundo Izotz might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lino Caitano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raimundo Izotz ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Arnoldo Santo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lino Caitano was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. After 88 played minutes La Cicloneta got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Federigo. If Gonzalo Bilbo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cirilo Hitzeder made in the 94th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by La Cicloneta's Celso Sancho. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. La Cicloneta fully deserved thier win.
