After a defensive mix-up in michitos's zone, Domingo Unai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Tano came out of the goal and Domingo Unai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mateo Aimar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Eduardo Stephen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of michitos booed when ACF Palermo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Otsando didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner led michitos's Bernardo Eliu to fire away a dangerous shot which Eduardo Stephen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 24th match minute, ACF Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomero Ceandro to maneuver through the defense. When Cirilo Gora came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the michitos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cirilo Gora couldn't finish the play. Eduardo Stephen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateo Aimar in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Genaro Quilo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The michitos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. ACF Palermo's Eduardo Stephen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateo Aimar in the 39th minute of play. Eduardo Stephen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cirilo Gora, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Baldomero Ceandro kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mateo Aimar was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, ACF Palermo's Domingo Unai got a free kick in the 56th minute. A hard shot by Aristides Su from long distance, 57 minutes into the match, got Eduardo Stephen's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 57th match minute, ACF Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Otsando to maneuver through the defense. Melchor Tabor took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eduardo Tano. michitos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 67thth minute of the game Mateo Aimar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ACF Palermo's Eduardo Stephen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The michitos fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when michitos's Mateo Aimar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. michitos's Eduardo Tano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Unai in the 75th minute of play. Eduardo Tano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Betadur in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th match minute, ACF Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Gaitan to maneuver through the defense. ACF Palermo's Eduardo Stephen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Eliu in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, ACF Palermo's goalkeeper Eduardo Stephen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Genaro Quilo.
