After 23 minutes, Adan Serapio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlas FC and the Talleres players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nico Lembeck came out of the goal and Gonzalo Bilbo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nico Lembeck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Estebano in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Herminio Lico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roman Chumo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roman Chumo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lino Caitano firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Roman Chumo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jesus Harri came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Atlas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jesus Harri couldn't finish the play. After having played for 40 minutes, Roman Chumo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roman Chumo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jesus Harri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Caitano having to interfere. Jesus Harri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lino Caitano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gonzalo Bilbo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Nico Lembeck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jesus Harri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jesus Harri came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Atlas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jesus Harri couldn't finish the play.
