Spectators: 6683 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1683, VIP seats: 0) Arnoldo Santo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 3 minutes of play, La Cicloneta's Raimundo Izotz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ildefonso Lalla was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of La Cicloneta booed when Luque FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Segundo Buinton didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Luque FC's Celso Curcio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rene Herensuge. That made the score 1-1 after 16 minutes of play. Eusebio Basualdo came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rene Herensuge could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Curcio in the 25th minute of play forced La Cicloneta's goalkeeper Rene Herensuge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luque FC's Ildefonso Lalla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnoldo Santo in the 27th minute of play. After some careless play in the Luque FC defense, Arnoldo Santo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ildefonso Lalla. The Luque FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ildefonso Lalla should have stopped the shot. Rene Herensuge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Curcio, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Luque FC's Ildefonso Lalla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnoldo Santo in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnoldo Santo got free with Ildefonso Lalla in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 58th minute, Bernardo Federigo made a precise shot to the right of Ildefonso Lalla. Luque FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Curcio in the 66th minute of play forced La Cicloneta's goalkeeper Rene Herensuge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ildefonso Lalla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Epifanio Montrel in the 69th minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, La Cicloneta's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Curcio came free, but Rene Herensuge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. La Cicloneta's Raimundo Izotz shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 80th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ildefonso Lalla but with some difficulty. Delmar Austin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raimundo Izotz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ildefonso Lalla having to interfere. If Celso Curcio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 89th play minutes Delmar Austin shot 1-6, a short shot which went by Ildefonso Lalla and just under the crossbar into goal.
