After 5 played minutes Pueblito got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao George. 8 minutes into the match, Febre's goalkeeper Nestor Quinito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zeledon Ramond. Zeledon Ramond blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nestor Quinito having to make a save. Nestor Quinito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabricio Mazuste, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Melquiades Estevez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ladislao George's late challenge caught a Febre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ladislao George helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th match minute, Pueblito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ladislao George to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Barrionuevo in the 41st minute of play forced Pueblito's goalkeeper Victor Eyague to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ladislao George came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Pueblito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ladislao George couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Febre getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Benedicto Suero hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the match, Febre's goal looked a bit too open when Fabricio Mazuste came free, but Nestor Quinito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Melquiades Estevez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Humberto Barrionuevo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabricio Mazuste in the 57th minute of play forced Febre's goalkeeper Nestor Quinito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nestor Quinito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeledon Ramond in the 62nd minute of the match. A collision led to Febre getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Domingos Erramun hit a great ball. Febre's Nestor Quinito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabricio Mazuste in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabricio Mazuste in the 68th minute of play forced Febre's goalkeeper Nestor Quinito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Pueblito getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Diego Demario hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 71st minute by Humberto Barrionuevo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Humberto Barrionuevo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Victor Eyague made a huge save. Victor Eyague took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melquiades Estevez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabricio Mazuste might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nestor Quinito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabricio Mazuste ran back to his position shaking his head. 75 minutes into the match, Zeledon Ramond had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nestor Quinito. Febre's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zeledon Ramond was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 79th minute, Domingos Erramun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the match, Febre's goal looked a bit too open when Fabricio Mazuste came free, but Nestor Quinito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diego Demario charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diego Demario the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zeledon Ramond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Humberto Barrionuevo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Eyague having to interfere. In the 91st minute Melquiades Estevez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Eyague saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victor Eyague showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melquiades Estevez, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
