Claudio Mosen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enzo Loi having to interfere. Zeledon Gorosti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prospero Botello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th match minute, Come Gato was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Vargas to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 32 minutes, Paulus Coeckelberghs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Come Gato's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulus Coeckelberghs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Paulus Coeckelberghs fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Come Gato's protests and gave Paulus Coeckelberghs a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Paulus Coeckelberghs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulus Coeckelberghs scored 1-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enzo Loi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zeledon Gorosti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Abeita in the 38th minute of the match. Paulus Coeckelberghs who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Enzo Loi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Zeledon Gorosti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benigno Iraitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 52nd minute, Ovidio Ermano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zeledon Gorosti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benigno Iraitz in the 54th minute of play. Paulus Coeckelberghs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enzo Loi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Enzo Loi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulus Coeckelberghs's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. With a little luck, Come Gato's Zeledon Gorosti got control of the ball when Simon Abeita tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Paulus Coeckelberghs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enzo Loi was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Paulus Coeckelberghs struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Enzo Loi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Come Gato. After 84 played minutes Empaladores FC got a freekick which was hit by Benigno Iraitz. In the 85th minute, Paulus Coeckelberghs left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Come Gato fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Empaladores FC's Enzo Loi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulus Coeckelberghs in the 89th minute of play. After having played for 90 minutes, Mario Aires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Come Gato's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mario Aires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Empaladores FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulus Coeckelberghs came free, but Enzo Loi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
