After 14 played minutes, Pampichuela's Vladimiro Virila shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Severino Baudelio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pampichuela reached it. If Reynaldo Truylos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Omar Feliz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severino Baudelio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Pepillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tomás Pepillo came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Pampichuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Pepillo couldn't finish the play. Humberto Francesco acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 25th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Luciano Ignatius. Tomás Pepillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Severino Baudelio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pampichuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Azul the free kick. Ambrosio Bazkoare kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. If Reynaldo Truylos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ciro Gonsalve stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Deportivo Azul's Severino Baudelio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Azul from getting a goal against them. 54 minutes into the match, Deportivo Azul's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Gonsalve came free, but Severino Baudelio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Deportivo Azul's Omar Feliz in 56 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Reynaldo Truylos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Azul's supporters rose to their feet, but Reynaldo Truylos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Francesco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 96th minute, Luciano Ignatius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 98 minutes into the game, Tomás Pepillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Severino Baudelio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Deportivo Azul's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
