The corner led to Instituto Juniors's Rolando Pitin getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Armando Otsando managed to get in a good position for a shot. Instituto Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Otsando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonio Perpinya breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 10 played minutes Sorete FC got a freekick which was hit by Filomeno Raulo. A hard shot 12 in the game by Elias Quintyn from a close distance when the talented Victorino Ferdinand managed to make a qualified save. Instituto Juniors's players were relieved. If Conrado Gartzea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Conrado Gartzea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Antonio Perpinya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Eulalio Fanuco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. German Normando charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Conrado Gartzea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Perpinya having to interfere. Instituto Juniors's Armando Otsando got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Eulalio Fanuco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eulalio Fanuco made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Conrado Gartzea made a precise shot to the right of Antonio Perpinya. Sorete FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 57 minutes into the match, Eulalio Fanuco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victorino Ferdinand. Instituto Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eulalio Fanuco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Armando Otsando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sorete FC's zone, Armando Otsando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonio Perpinya came out of the goal and Armando Otsando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filomeno Raulo charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filomeno Raulo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Victorino Ferdinand came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Sorete FC's Eulalio Fanuco. But to his dismay, Eulalio Fanuco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rolando Pitin got free with Antonio Perpinya in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 96 minutes into the match, Instituto Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Eulalio Fanuco came free, but Victorino Ferdinand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
