Velez Sarsfield's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nogal FC the free kick. The supporters of Nogal FC booed when Velez Sarsfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Soter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amado Bernal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Medardo in the 18th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Nogal FC's Gaston Uxio got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Velez Sarsfield's Ermegildo Santo got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fernan Fonda scored 1-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Justo Nardo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute, Fernan Fonda made a precise shot to the right of Justo Nardo. Nogal FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Justo Nardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermegildo Santo in the 35th minute of the match. Ermegildo Santo kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Tomás Venerando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Justo Nardo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernan Fonda in the 49th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Amado Bernal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Medardo in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute, Humberto Urbes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arturo Cebo during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Nogal FC! The referee gave Velez Sarsfield a penalty, 62 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Eloy Vermudo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Nogal FC's Justo Nardo. 3-0. 70 minutes into the match, Ermegildo Santo notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Nogal FC's Justo Nardo. Justo Nardo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Ermegildo Santo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Justo Nardo was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. 80 minutes into the game, Ermegildo Santo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. After having played for 91 minutes, Ermegildo Santo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Velez Sarsfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ermegildo Santo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Nogal FC's zone, Fernan Fonda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justo Nardo came out of the goal and Fernan Fonda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There was no doubt that Velez Sarsfield were the better team. Velez Sarsfield's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
