Raimundo Urki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Bortzaioriz, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. But to his dismay, Isidoro Bortzaioriz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 31st minute of the match Antonio Jerano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raimundo Urki showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Joaquin Elazar fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River Plate.'s protests and gave Joaquin Elazar a yellow card for diving instead. Joaquin Elazar kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Isidoro Bortzaioriz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raimundo Urki was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isidoro Bortzaioriz in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raimundo Urki saved Goya from getting behind. In the 88th match minute, Goya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Venceslas to maneuver through the defense. Julian Mendez struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Eusebio Isusko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goya. With 92 minutes on the clock, Antonio Jerano commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. River Plate.:s Eusebio Isusko showed great skill when he stopped Modesto Cordeiro:s penalty. River Plate. were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Goya to leave the ground with a draw.
