He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ricardo Gaizkine. Bernardo Romelio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cleto Guipuzkoa kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Ranquilcó FC's Hugo Loi tried to score from far away in the 44th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Siro Constancio to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Chacarita Undertakers's zone, Dario Sabino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Gaizkine came out of the goal and Dario Sabino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Dario Sabino came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Ranquilcó FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dario Sabino couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Ranquilcó FC booed when Chacarita Undertakers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleto Guipuzkoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Gaizkine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Siro Constancio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Bernardo Romelio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
