With a couple of smart ball manuevers Siro Constancio in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abelardo Frisco saved Goyeneche from getting behind. 12 minutes into the match, Goyeneche's goal looked a bit too open when Siro Constancio came free, but Abelardo Frisco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Mauro Manny managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goyeneche's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Manny was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruben Padro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 36th match minute, Ranquilcó FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erubiel Romo to maneuver through the defense. Delmar Baumer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ruben Padro came out and tried to block the shot, but Delmar Baumer slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 39th minute. Dario Sabino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Frisco having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
