The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guillermo Hitzeder showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Astor Refugio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guillermo Hitzeder having to make a save. 18 minutes into the game, Elvio Azeari was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zorro 86's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Román FC the free kick. If Alejo Lastur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 26 played minutes Román FC got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Rocendo. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Astor Refugio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zorro 86's supporters rose to their feet, but Astor Refugio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guillermo Hitzeder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Evelio Idacio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zorro 86's Astor Refugio got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Evelio Idacio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guillermo Hitzeder read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Teofilo Dalmai made a precise shot to the right of Miguel Sidro. Zorro 86's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Román FC's Guillermo Hitzeder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Astor Refugio in the 47th minute of play.

Alejo Lastur blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guillermo Hitzeder having to make a save. Zorro 86's Miguel Sidro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Eron in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marciano Fero in the 57th minute of play forced Zorro 86's goalkeeper Miguel Sidro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guillermo Hitzeder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evelio Idacio in the 58th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Astor Refugio in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guillermo Hitzeder saved Román FC from getting behind. Evelio Idacio struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Guillermo Hitzeder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zorro 86. In the 66th minute, Teofilo Dalmai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Román FC's zone, Alejo Lastur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guillermo Hitzeder came out of the goal and Alejo Lastur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alejo Lastur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Hitzeder having to interfere. Erasmo Geofredo charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erasmo Geofredo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 84th minute, Erasmo Geofredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute, Teofilo Dalmai left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Román FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Ignacio Beila's late challenge caught a Román FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ignacio Beila helped the player get up and apologised. Many of Zorro 86's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Zorro 86 may have spent more time on the ball, but Román FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
