The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Astor Refugio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Geronimo Constancio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dalmacio Montes got free with Miguel Sidro in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Miguel Sidro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lisandro Txerran showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. In the 15th minute, Anier Niva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zorro 86's Miguel Sidro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Mancio in the 18th minute of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Evelio Idacio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zorro 86's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evelio Idacio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Armando Mancio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Sidro having to interfere. Dalmacio Montes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Sidro having to interfere. Astor Refugio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. A collision led to Zorro 86 getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Anier Niva hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Astor Refugio was the one to do the kick off. Geronimo Constancio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Astor Refugio, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Erasmo Geofredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Geronimo Constancio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in BOEDO's zone, Astor Refugio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. With a little luck, BOEDO's Geronimo Constancio got control of the ball when Evelio Idacio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Astor Refugio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Constancio having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Zorro 86's Astor Refugio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 74th minute, Armando Mancio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BOEDO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Astor Refugio struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Geronimo Constancio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zorro 86. In the 80th minute, Joaquin Karmel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Zorro 86's Anier Niva got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Zorro 86's Ignacio Beila was substituted for Roque Leheren. Zorro 86's Miguel Sidro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Mancio in the 95th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Zorro 86's Evelio Idacio got a free kick in the 95th minute. BOEDO were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
