An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Mitxel in the 34th minute of play forced La Plata Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Nemesio Steven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Oxel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Ernesto Mitxel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nemesio Steven. La Plata Fútbol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ernesto Mitxel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 57 minutes into the match, La Plata Fútbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Oxel came free, but Nemesio Steven reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute, Jaime Oxel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nemesio Steven. The goal made the score 0-2. Nemesio Steven acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 68th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Teodosio Casomiro. La Plata Fútbol Club's Nemesio Steven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Oxel in the 69th minute of play. When Ramiro Casomiro came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the La Plata Fútbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramiro Casomiro couldn't finish the play. In the 72nd minute Oscar Bartoleme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Abancens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Héroes de la Pala's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
