To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 13 minutes into the match, Luciano Eufrasio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonel Fernandes. Tormenta SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luciano Eufrasio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The Retamal fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Retamal's Luciano Eufrasio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Honorato Orkatz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tormenta SC's Honorato Orkatz got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leonel Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Caitano, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luciano Eufrasio to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Tormenta SC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Aurelio Joseph hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Camilo Pagomari sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tormenta SC's Leonel Fernandes didn't even have to move. With an all-out effort, Retamal's Leonel Fernandes threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luciano Eufrasio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 84 minutes into the game, Retamal's Luciano Eufrasio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leonel Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Retamal players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
