Spectators: 7190 (Terracing: 5394, Seating: 1653, VIP seats: 143) Benedicto Estebano started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Oliverios in the 3rd minute of play forced Maderas AFC's goalkeeper Ismael Jobo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lorenzo Gagriel hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Ismael Jobo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benedicto Estebano went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Maderas AFC's Laureano Espiridion got a free kick in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Maderas AFC's zone, Benedicto Estebano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael Jobo came out of the goal and Benedicto Estebano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 20th play minutes Domingo Oliverios shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Ismael Jobo and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 24th minute, Lorenzo Gagriel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atletico Varela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Domingo Oliverios's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ismael Jobo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Cleto Remicio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maderas AFC's Cleto Remicio got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gabriel Egun kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Ramiro Bartuelo was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Cleto Remicio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cleto Remicio really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ildefonso Moise was the one to do the kick off. Domingo Oliverios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benedicto Estebano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Ismael Jobo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Maderas AFC's goalkeeper Ismael Jobo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Domingo Oliverios. With a little luck, Maderas AFC's Ismael Jobo got control of the ball when Lorenzo Gagriel tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 61st minute, Ildefonso Moise left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maderas AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Eustacio Vachon hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Octavio Distiratsu fired a really elegant long shot, but Ismael Jobo threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. If Cleto Remicio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, Domingo Oliverios reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ismael Jobo. The goal made the score 2-4. In the 87th minute, Benedicto Estebano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ismael Jobo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. In the 94th minute Cleto Remicio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Bartuelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Ildefonso Moise managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maderas AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ildefonso Moise was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramiro Bartuelo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Atletico Varela eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
