Ramiro Bartuelo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nicolas Guipuzkoa came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Atletico Varela's Benedicto Estebano. But to his dismay, Benedicto Estebano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Nicolas Guipuzkoa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedicto Estebano in the 18th minute of the match. Victorio Regis hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the match, Caseros's goal looked a bit too open when Lorenzo Gagriel came free, but Nicolas Guipuzkoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caseros's Nicolas Guipuzkoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Oliverios in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Estebano in the 28th minute of play forced Caseros's goalkeeper Nicolas Guipuzkoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Teofilo Aurre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caseros's supporters rose to their feet, but Teofilo Aurre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramiro Bartuelo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. David Berriotxoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ramiro Bartuelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benedicto Estebano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 37 minutes into the match, Atletico Varela's Lorenzo Gagriel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicolas Guipuzkoa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 41st minute Benedicto Estebano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Guipuzkoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teofilo Aurre was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Benedicto Estebano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicolas Guipuzkoa was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Nicolas Guipuzkoa made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Domingo Oliverios sent off a good shot on target. In the 74th minute, Teofilo Aurre ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ramiro Bartuelo was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Ramiro Bartuelo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teofilo Aurre's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. Benedicto Estebano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Caseros fans cheered their team off the field, for while Atletico Varela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
