Clodoveo Garin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Ibon having to interfere. A collision led to Guaraní getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Francisco Rodriguez hit a great ball. After 24 played minutes Guaraní got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Llin. Victorio Pero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benigno Ruisko, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Turi in the 28th minute of play forced Guaraní's goalkeeper Victorio Pero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guaraní's Victorio Pero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Curcio in the 31st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Guaraní's Abelardo Amor got a free kick in the 32nd minute. When Baldomiro Lehen came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Guaraní fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baldomiro Lehen couldn't finish the play. Lorenzo Ibon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clodoveo Garin, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Rigoberto Curcio's late challenge caught a Guaraní's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rigoberto Curcio helped the player get up and apologised. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clodoveo Garin was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Clodoveo Garin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Lorenzo Ibon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clodoveo Garin in the 60th minute of play forced Bristol City's goalkeeper Lorenzo Ibon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute, Gaudencio Azubeli made a precise shot to the right of Lorenzo Ibon. Bristol City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clodoveo Garin in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lorenzo Ibon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Clodoveo Garin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lorenzo Ibon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Clodoveo Garin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Lorenzo Ibon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Bristol City getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Rigoberto Curcio hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the match, Guaraní's goal looked a bit too open when Rigoberto Curcio came free, but Victorio Pero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Bristol City supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Guaraní's performance. The match ended with a win for Guaraní.
