Gavino Umbruso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nereo Tallia in the 53rd minute of play. Santiago Hulberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sixto Montrell in the 59th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Nereo Tallia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caucete's supporters rose to their feet, but Nereo Tallia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gavino Umbruso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Mario Txordon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mario Txordon got free with Gavino Umbruso in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 88th minute, Jorge Loiola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gavino Umbruso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mario Txordon in the 94th minute. Many of Caucete's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Caucete may have spent more time on the ball, but Ovara were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
