The audience thought a goal was coming when Aquilino Tomi got free with Hugo Baraquiel in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lázaro Guter received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hugo Baraquiel came out and tried to block the shot, but Lázaro Guter slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 15th minute. Calchaqui FC II's Hugo Baraquiel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonides Birila in the 18th minute of play. Calchaqui FC II's Hugo Baraquiel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Calchaqui FC II from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Calchaqui FC II booed when Firestarter FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anier Pelayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Birila in the 28th minute of play forced Calchaqui FC II's goalkeeper Hugo Baraquiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Armando Ospetsu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calchaqui FC II's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Ospetsu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nunez Lizardi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 44th minute Lázaro Guter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Baraquiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Armando Ospetsu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonides Birila made a kick off. Robert Rojas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Firestarter FC's zone, Tomas Rodriguez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nunez Lizardi came out of the goal and Tomas Rodriguez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Tomas Rodriguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonides Birila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the game, Lázaro Guter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Firestarter FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Calchaqui FC II the free kick. In the 82nd minute, Armando Ospetsu made a precise shot to the right of Nunez Lizardi. Firestarter FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Armando Ospetsu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calchaqui FC II's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Ospetsu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
