When Eduardo Mergildo fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored En Restructuracion's protests and gave Eduardo Mergildo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th minute, one of En Restructuracion:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for En Restructuracion. Benedicto Gitano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Fagildo, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Teofilo Fagildo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Benedicto Gitano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Teofilo Fagildo made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Higinio Cebo during the 52nd minute. Benedicto Gitano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacobo Roldan in the 69th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Franklin FC's zone, Teofilo Fagildo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benedicto Gitano came out of the goal and Teofilo Fagildo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benedicto Gitano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacobo Roldan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerardo Balesio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Errando having to interfere. If Rodrigo Roderigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
