Jose Vargas's late challenge caught a the shield's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcial Claude in the 78th minute of play forced Niupi FC's goalkeeper Eusebio Nuxila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
