Miguel Roderigo came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Niupi FC's Ivan Chico. But to his dismay, Ivan Chico quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Diego Calvino charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diego Calvino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Diego Calvino hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Adrian Bautista was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 16th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ivan Chico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Miguel Roderigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Basilio Caradaro took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miguel Roderigo. Miguel Roderigo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 35 minutes into the game, Bernabe Abar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Niupi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave the shield the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Guaberto Gomesano managed to get in a good position for a shot. the shield's supporters rose to their feet, but Guaberto Gomesano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusebio Nuxila breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcial Claude fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusebio Nuxila having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, Marcial Claude notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Niupi FC's Eusebio Nuxila. Eusebio Nuxila was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

55 minutes into the game, the shield's Guaberto Gomesano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eusebio Nuxila made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Ceferino Vincent kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. the shield were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after Niupi FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Javier Eduino took the corner. The supporters of the shield booed when Niupi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basilio Caradaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Javier Eduino managed to get in a good position for a shot. the shield's supporters rose to their feet, but Javier Eduino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusebio Nuxila breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 64 minutes into the match, the shield's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Chico came free, but Miguel Roderigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basilio Caradaro succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-3 in the 70th playminute. Niupi FC's Eusebio Nuxila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Claude in the 74th minute of play. Bernabe Abar was shown his second yellow card after 75 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Niupi FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Bernabe Abar hit a great ball. If Guaberto Gomesano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Cosme Estevon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guaberto Gomesano in the 87th minute of play forced Niupi FC's goalkeeper Eusebio Nuxila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Diego Calvino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Niupi FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Ceferino Vincent hit a great ball. Guaberto Gomesano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusebio Nuxila having to interfere. 99 minutes into the match, the shield's Diego Calvino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eusebio Nuxila narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Niupi FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Niupi FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
