After 8 played minutes Maximus AFC got a freekick which was hit by Anacleto Umbruso. After a defensive mix-up in Maximus AFC's zone, Rafael Ongile stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herminio Vito came out of the goal and Rafael Ongile tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauricio Teyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Ongile in the 13th minute of play forced Maximus AFC's goalkeeper Herminio Vito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pascual Felipillo ran back to his position shaking his head. If Pascual Felipillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. SURULECHE's Ermegildo Rivas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelino Cefero in the 39th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Saul Eskuin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 47 minutes of play Maximus AFC's Anacleto Umbruso was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Anacleto Umbruso hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafael Ongile stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Rafael Ongile who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maximus AFC's Herminio Vito was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Herminio Vito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Ongile in the 63rd minute of the match. Marcelino Cefero's late challenge caught a SURULECHE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelino Cefero helped the player get up and apologised. Herminio Vito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of SURULECHE booed when Maximus AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severo Gotzon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pascual Felipillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ermegildo Rivas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Herminio Vito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Ongile in the 79th minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, SURULECHE's goal looked a bit too open when Pascual Felipillo came free, but Ermegildo Rivas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Maximus AFC! Pascual Felipillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Rivas having to interfere. The SURULECHE supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SURULECHE would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
