But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gonzalo Rumaldo couldn't finish the play. 11 minutes into the game, Aureliano Edwardo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Rene Bitxintxo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Gonzalo Rumaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Israel Paul kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Gregorio Naike was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 27th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Enrique Belmiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Rene Bitxintxo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ermegildo Ekain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Markel having to interfere. Aureliano Edwardo struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Rene Bitxintxo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Modern Loreal. If Aureliano Edwardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Modern Loreal's Enrique Belmiro got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aureliano Edwardo to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ermegildo Ekain during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ermegildo Ekain hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Rene Bitxintxo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonathan Markel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermegildo Ekain in the 60th minute of play. In the 67th match minute, Modern Loreal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvano Guzman to maneuver through the defense. Eulalio Henric, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Gonzalo Rumaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Modern Loreal's Jonathan Markel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Rumaldo in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th match minute, Modern Loreal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvano Pello to maneuver through the defense. After 79 played minutes Modern Loreal got a freekick which was hit by Aureliano Edwardo. Rene Bitxintxo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliano Edwardo in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Haroldo Ospin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th play minute Enrique Belmiro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rene Bitxintxo. 1-3. Aureliano Edwardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Rene Bitxintxo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
