Paulino Leheren charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulino Leheren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Malligasta's Paulino Leheren got a free kick in the 7th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Tacuara AFC's Pedro Ponce tried to score from far away in the 8th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Gaspar Ebardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Mariano Lixandro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosendo Geleberto in the 16th minute of play forced Malligasta's goalkeeper Mariano Lixandro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romeo Fresco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Melquiades Isidor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Esteve Pierres fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tacuara AFC's protests and gave Esteve Pierres a yellow card for diving instead. Esteve Pierres hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Fausto Mino took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Melquiades Isidor. Tacuara AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Tacuara AFC's Gaspar Ebardo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mariano Lixandro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 43rd match minute, Malligasta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Fresco to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Romeo Fresco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Melquiades Isidor was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rosendo Geleberto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Melquiades Isidor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Afonso in the 56th minute of play. The long shot by Isidro Pero in the 59th minute really tested Mariano Lixandro's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Gaspar Ebardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Malligasta's Herminio Galo got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 64th minute, Romeo Fresco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Melquiades Isidor was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gualterio Afonso during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 68th match minute, Malligasta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualterio Afonso to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Rosendo Geleberto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tacuara AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rosendo Geleberto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mariano Lixandro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gaspar Ebardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mariano Lixandro didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 84th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. 89 minutes into the match, Tacuara AFC's Rosendo Geleberto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mariano Lixandro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 91 minutes into the match, Malligasta's goalkeeper Mariano Lixandro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaspar Ebardo. Melquiades Isidor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Txanton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th match minute, Malligasta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustaquio Azeari to maneuver through the defense. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tacuara AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
