Spectators: 7039 (Terracing: 5539, Seating: 1450, VIP seats: 50) Jeremias Fernanco started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Gogo Paio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute Gogo Paio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Odon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Odon was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gogo Paio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. Malanzán's Marcos Nofre was substituted for Tobias Asur. Erasmo Maldonado hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After having played for 27 minutes, Alonzo Savier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malanzán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alonzo Savier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Melchor Iaki charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Melchor Iaki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Vespucio FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Melchor Iaki hit a great ball. Hermengildo Dubardo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 35th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Hermengildo Dubardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Vespucio FC's zone, Jeremias Fernanco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Odon came out of the goal and Jeremias Fernanco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 41 minutes, Jorge Nerio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vespucio FC and the Malanzán players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Vespucio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Nerio to maneuver through the defense. Malanzán's Jeremias Fernanco got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alonzo Savier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 46 minutes of play Vespucio FC's Erasmo Maldonado was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Martin Gentza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joel Odon came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Malanzán's Jeremias Fernanco. But to his dismay, Jeremias Fernanco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 57th minute, Jeremias Fernanco made a precise shot to the right of Joel Odon. Vespucio FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Gogo Paio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Joel Odon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, Melchor Iaki threw the ball into play from the sideline. Malanzán's Hermengildo Dubardo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Gogo Paio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Jeremias Fernanco came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Malanzán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeremias Fernanco couldn't finish the play. Hermengildo Dubardo's late challenge caught a Vespucio FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hermengildo Dubardo helped the player get up and apologised. After 70 played minutes Malanzán got a freekick which was hit by Hermengildo Dubardo. In the 72nd minute Jeremias Fernanco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Odon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jeremias Fernanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeremias Fernanco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Joel Odon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeremias Fernanco struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Joel Odon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malanzán. Jeremias Fernanco took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joel Odon. Joel Odon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Jeremias Fernanco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Joel Odon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hermengildo Dubardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Gogo Paio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malanzán's supporters rose to their feet, but Gogo Paio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Odon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeremias Fernanco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Malanzán's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
