Ramon Etxahun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Malanzán's Hermengildo Dubardo got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Alonzo Savier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malanzán's supporters rose to their feet, but Alonzo Savier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramon Etxahun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in La Gacela FC's zone, Gogo Paio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramon Etxahun came out of the goal and Gogo Paio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeremias Fernanco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramon Etxahun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Fernanco, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the match, La Gacela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Dubardo came free, but Ramon Etxahun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeremias Fernanco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramon Etxahun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jeremias Fernanco went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Daniel Estebe made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Gogo Paio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Etxahun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th match minute, Malanzán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobias Asur to maneuver through the defense. 63 minutes into the match, Malanzán's Hermengildo Dubardo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramon Etxahun narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Natalio Cordaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ladislao Orlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hermengildo Dubardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, La Gacela FC's Ramon Etxahun got control of the ball when Gogo Paio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jeremias Fernanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Etxahun having to interfere. Ramon Etxahun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Fernanco in the 83rd minute of the match. Hermengildo Oto charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hermengildo Oto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Malanzán booed when La Gacela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermengildo Oto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramon Etxahun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alonzo Savier in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Hermengildo Dubardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jeremias Fernanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute of the game Apolo Umbruso made a throw-in which Hermengildo Oto played forward.
