In the 3rd minute, Martin Gentza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joel Odon made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Ladislao Orlan sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ladislao Orlan got free with Joel Odon in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Vespucio FC's zone, Daniel Estebe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Odon came out of the goal and Daniel Estebe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ladislao Orlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Odon having to interfere. A collision led to La Gacela FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Atilano Goi hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, La Gacela FC's Joel Odon threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Daniel Estebe, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Hermengildo Oto charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hermengildo Oto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, La Gacela FC's Paulo Raulo got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Niceto Haitz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 33rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Anibal Rutenio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Etxahun having to interfere. Martin Gentza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hermengildo Oto was shown his second yellow card after 40 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Hermengildo Oto kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. When Martin Gentza came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Vespucio FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Gentza couldn't finish the play. Daniel Estebe charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Estebe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, La Gacela FC's Daniel Estebe got a free kick in the 46th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ladislao Orlan to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, La Gacela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anibal Rutenio came free, but Ramon Etxahun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, La Gacela FC's Enzo Jakobe got a free kick in the 70th minute. La Gacela FC's Ramon Etxahun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save La Gacela FC from getting a goal against them. Vespucio FC's Joel Odon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislao Orlan in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Vespucio FC's Anibal Rutenio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. In the 84th minute, Martin Gentza made a precise shot to the right of Ramon Etxahun. La Gacela FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Ladislao Orlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Joel Odon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Vespucio FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vespucio FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
