But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tobias Asur couldn't finish the play. Ramon Etxahun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Fernanco, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Tobias Asur's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramon Etxahun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Alonzo Savier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Ramon Etxahun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Donato Shantala during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th minute, Gogo Paio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 20 minutes, Tobias Asur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malanzán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tobias Asur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Donato Shantala kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, La Gacela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Dubardo came free, but Ramon Etxahun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, La Gacela FC's Donato Shantala got a free kick in the 30th minute. Paulo Raulo hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute Paulo Raulo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Cordaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gogo Paio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Etxahun having to interfere. After having played for 36 minutes, Hermengildo Dubardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The supporters of Malanzán booed when La Gacela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermengildo Oto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramon Etxahun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Fernanco in the 44th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Hermengildo Dubardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malanzán's supporters rose to their feet, but Hermengildo Dubardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramon Etxahun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Estebe made a kick off. Alonzo Savier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Etxahun having to interfere. Paulo Raulo's late challenge caught a Malanzán's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Raulo helped the player get up and apologised. Paulo Raulo hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. A collision led to La Gacela FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Hermengildo Oto hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the game, Malanzán's Jeremias Fernanco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ramon Etxahun made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 64 minutes into the match, Malanzán's Jeremias Fernanco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramon Etxahun narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to La Gacela FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Donato Shantala hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Tobias Asur managed to get in a good position for a shot. The ball had pretty good speed, but Natalio Cordaro firmly grabbed it by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeremias Fernanco in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ramon Etxahun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Malanzán's Hermengildo Dubardo got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Apolo Umbruso made in the 91st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Cecilio Nuno. After a rather tough play, La Gacela FC's Paulo Raulo got a free kick in the 94th minute. Malanzán walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
