Hugo Afonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Eulalio Jayvier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eulalio Jayvier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luisito Bembe's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Luisito Bembe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eulalio Jayvier having to interfere. If Honorio Dominix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luisito Bembe in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eulalio Jayvier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 45 minutes into the game, Hugo Afonso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Eulalio Jayvier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luisito Bembe to make the kick off. When Melquiades Cordera came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Independiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melquiades Cordera couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Los Hornos F.C booed when Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeronimo Magdaleno didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Luisito Bembe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eulalio Jayvier was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. A collision led to Los Hornos F.C getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Salvador Berenguer hit a great ball. Paulo Ralondo hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Luisito Bembe was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 80th minute. Los Hornos F.C's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 81st match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Jerano to maneuver through the defense. Honorio Dominix took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonatan Francis. Jonatan Francis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. If Hugo Afonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Although Independiente had been in control for most of the match, Los Hornos F.C still came away with the win.
