Vladimiro Havier kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After 30 played minutes C.S.D. y C. El Progreso got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Chabier. After a defensive mix-up in C.S.D. y C. El Progreso's zone, Eliseo Lucila stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgilio Bihar came out of the goal and Eliseo Lucila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the match, C.S.D. y C. El Progreso's goal looked a bit too open when Feliberto Austin came free, but Virgilio Bihar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of PASTAFRULA FC booed when C.S.D. y C. El Progreso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Gaur didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teodosio Lopes got free with Fidel Aresti in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute C.S.D. y C. El Progreso were awarded a corner. Timoteo Ederono went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on C.S.D. y C. El Progreso's corner Timoteo Ederono fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fidel Aresti quite easily take care of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 81st minute, one of PASTAFRULA FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for PASTAFRULA FC. The referee gave C.S.D. y C. El Progreso a penalty, 82 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Timoteo Ederono, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of PASTAFRULA FC's Fidel Aresti. 1-2. Eliseo Lucila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Feliberto Austin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Virgilio Bihar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Angelino Maidana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Eliseo Lucila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched PASTAFRULA FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
