Thanks to some nice moves Tadeo Bernabel could shoot a difficult shot in the 8th minute, which Elpidio Oto however easily saved by the left post. Santos Harriet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Nemesio Constancio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elpidio Oto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tadeo Bernabel in the 21st minute. Nemesio Constancio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nemesio Constancio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejandro Tiadoro having to interfere. Elpidio Oto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Narciso Astrada's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Tunal's Narciso Astrada sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elpidio Oto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Tunal getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Jorge Eduino hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, Tunal's goal looked a bit too open when Santos Harriet came free, but Alejandro Tiadoro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 played minutes Valenzuela FC got a freekick which was hit by Nemesio Constancio. Valenzuela FC's Nemesio Constancio got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nemesio Constancio scored 0-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alejandro Tiadoro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Narciso Astrada to strike the kick off in the second half. 68 minutes into the match, Tadeo Bernabel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elpidio Oto. Valenzuela FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tadeo Bernabel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a rather tough play, Tunal's Narciso Astrada got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Santos Harriet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejandro Tiadoro having to interfere. Tunal's Alejandro Tiadoro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Tunal from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tadeo Bernabel in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elpidio Oto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 82 minutes into the game, Santos Harriet cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Alejandro Tiadoro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Narciso Astrada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Valenzuela FC booed when Tunal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filiberto Rojelio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valenzuela FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
